Effective Email Signatures
An email signature is that part of he email that appears after the main body. Mine looks like this:
Some people add a quote to their signature, some an image (I have mixed feelings about that).
The two little dashes ( -- ) above the email is a standard that says "signature below".
Most email programs and webmail programs allow you to set up a signature. Just look for "signature" in the help system.
--Using an email signature makes it easier for people to contact you when needed. Often I am reading an email and need to call the sender. If their phone number is there, great. Otherwise, I have to hunt around. Same with the email address and web site. (But wait you say, isn't my email address already in the sender box? Well, yes. But if your email is forwarded to someone else, THEY will have your email address right there.)

Professional Profile: Joe Carig
Every month we'll be profiling professionals that provide essential support services to Koa. They keep critical details together so we can focus on feeding the creative engine. We share these resources as we want our clients and friends to be successful, as well.
This month we feature Joe Carig of Dowling & O'Neil Insurance. Joe is the only agent we have worked with that has taken the time to understand our business and proactively recommend action, even it involves services he doesn't provide.
Joe is currently a V.P. of Sales at Dowling & O’Neil Insurance in Hyannis. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. In 2007 Joe was approached by Dowling & O’Neil to work in their growing sales department. Being a resident of Sandwich he brings his expertise to the residents and business owners of Cape Cod. Joe provides solutions for all of his clients, ranging from homeowners to building owners and everything in between. Joe finds his clients the best pricing available while making sure his clients are properly covered. He is the go to guy on the Cape when it comes to insurance.

Artman!
Stephen Roth is not your typical artist. He is the Artman! That says it all. We just launched his new site this week. One thing a little unusual is that we didn't acutally fill up every page with content before the launch. Why not? Probably because Stephen is selling paintings as fast as he can make them, and right now is the season on Cape Cod!
Check out the new site, and come back in the dead of winter when, hopefully, Stephen will have a few minutes to write up a bit more about his great paintings...

Talk Story ('olelo Kama'ilio) is the Hawai’an phrase for shooting the breeze, sharing ideas, stories, and opinions. Good friends get together and “Talk Story”. The purpose of our blog, Talk Story, is to share some of our ideas and observations about elements of web communications, particularly strategic planning. And for a bit of shameless self promotion. Please enjoy and give us some talk story back!
